⅝” Rope Gag headstall. Finally a leather draw gag headstall that really works! It adjusts to fit your horse and will stay in place when pulling on one rein. It’s easy to install a bit by removing and reinstalling rein ring.
The gag bit is designed to allow the mouthpiece to slide on a shank, rope or cable. A gag bit is used for lateral leverage and does not apply pressure to the bars of the horse’s mouth. It is most often used in barrel racing to elevate a horse in a turn.
Great bit for speed events! The gag action allows the bit to slide freely on the rope headstall without putting pressure on the bars of the mouth. This bit really helps to elevate a horse in the turn. Fully adjustable using a rope halter style knot.
