The National Pole Bending Association has approved a New England regional qualifying show to be held in Showhegan, Maine on July 1, 2006. The New England regional qualifying show will have $1,000 added to the open 3D pole bending and will have $100 added to the youth 3D pole bending. By attending the New England regional qualifying show an NPBA member will automatically qualify to attend the 2007 NPBA National Championship show.
The New England regional qualifying show will be held in conjunction with the Maine Quarter Horse Association Firecracker Circuit and the Maine Speed Event. A $5,000 added barrel race will also be held at the event. While held in conjunction with a quarter horse show, the NPBA regional qualifying show is open to horses of all breeds.
The New England regional qualifying show is being sponsored by American Air Systems. Anyone joining NPBA before June 15, 2006 and showing at the New England regional qualifying show will be entered into a drawing for a pair of SA Wall Stirrups, courtesy of The Tack Stop in Pittsfield, Maine.
